IN COMMITTEE ON FINANCE. DEFENCE FORCES (TEMPORARY PROVISIONS) (No. 2) BILL, 1925—MONEY RESOLUTION.

The Message prescribed by the Constitution has been received from his Excellency the Governor-General. I move:—

Go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú go n-íocfar amach as airgead a sholá- thróidh an tOireachtas aon chostaisí fé n-a raghfar fé aon Acht a rithfar sa tSiosón so chun na hAchtanna Fórsaí Cosanta (Forálacha Sealad- acha), 1923 go 1925, do bhuanú.

That it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys to be provided by the Oireachtas of any expenses incurred under any Act of the present Session to continue the Defence Forces (Temporary Provisions) Acts, 1923 to 1925.

The Bill involves the continuance of the Defence Forces and will involve such expense as may be submitted to the Dáil later on in the Estimates. It will be, I hope, less than the expenses of the present year.

Question put and agreed to.
