Vol. 16 No. 12

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. - BANK ADVANCES FOR LAND PURCHASE.

SEAN O LAIDHIN

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he proposes to introduce legislation before the Summer Recess, to amend Part III. of the Land Act, 1923, whereby the tenants of all lands purchased by a society or body of trustees by means of an advance made by a bank will have the amount lodged by them refunded, and to enable such lands so purchased to be re-valued with a view of reducing the annuities.

Mr. HOGAN

Does the Deputy require an answer?

I see you have a Bill introduced. I should like to know whether it is intended to have the amount lodged by the tenant refunded.
