Vol. 37 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Distribution of Navan Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state if the estate known as "Silloge," Kilberry, near Navan, is yet distributed, and, if so, to whom has it been allotted, and how many were uneconomic holders of the locality.

The lands of Silloge to which the Deputy refers have been distributed. The names of the allottees are John Mackin, Mrs. Garahan, Patrick Martin, Sylvester Duffy, John Keely, Thomas McHugh, Patrick Cald-well and Frank Loughran, three of these allottees being the occupiers of small holdings in the locality and one a tenant who agrees to surrender part of his home holding to provide for the enlargement of an adjoining uneconomic holding.

Mr. O'Reilly

Will the Parliamentary Secretary state whether the other three tenants exchanged land for this land?

Mr. O'Reilly

Will the Parliamentary Secretary state whether any of the tenants, apart from the uneconomic holders, received any special gratuity from the Government?

I am not aware of it.
