Employees under 20 years of age are paid, according to age, a proportion of the adult rate.
Two sawyers and an engineman employed at Dundrum, County Tipperary, are paid at the rate of 35s. a week.
The staff of foresters and foremen numbers 70, and in addition there is a certain number of trainees engaged in forestry operations. For particulars of the salaries applicable to the grades of forester and foreman, the Deputy is referred to the Forestry Vote No. 55 of the Estimates. A forest may be in charge of a forester or a foreman or at the larger centres both a forester and a foreman may be employed.
