Vol. 89 No. 4

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Items 1, 2 and 3. With regard to item No. 3, the Vote to be taken is No. 54— Gaeltacht Services.

Is that the only Vote that it is proposed to take?

Will the Taoiseach say when it is proposed to give time for the motion that appears on the Order Paper in my name?

I think the Parliamentary Secretary has been discussing that matter with the Deputy. It will be taken as soon as possible.

Can the Taoiseach fix a date?

I do not know that we could fix a date now. It will be taken as soon as possible after the Dáil meets again.

Mr. Byrne

Will the Taoiseach say whether this matter will be left, so far as his group is concerned, to an open vote of the House?

That is a separate question.

I cannot say anything in advance.

Will the Government time be given for the discussion?

Are we adjourning to-day, and to what date?

Yes, to the 17th February.

On the reassembly, when will we be told that the motion will be taken?

Probably in a day or two afterwards.

Mr. Byrne

And there will be no election in the meantime?

If there is, the House as now constituted will not reassemble.
