Vol. 97 No. 25

Ceist—Question. Oral Answer. - Delay in Porter and Stout Deliveries (County Dublin).

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that there is considerable delay in the delivery of porter and stout to licensed traders in County Dublin; and, if so, if he will state if the cause of the delay is due to shortage of fuel or shortage of barrels; and, if so, if he will either issue permits to Messrs. Guinness for increased supplies of fuel or allow the importation of suitable timber for the manufacture of barrels, as the case may require.

There is no official control exercised over the distribution of porter and stout to licensed traders either in County Dublin or elsewhere and, consequently, I have no information on the matter mentioned in the question, which I do not consider is one which calls for my intervention.
