The value of National Health Insurance stamps sold in each of the years 1942 to 1945, inclusive, is as follows: 1942, £667,189 11s. 2d.; 1943, £664,773 7s. 11d.; 1944, £677,695 5s. 5d.; 1945, £696,531 8s. 11d.

The National Health Insurance Society gets the benefit of these contributions in respect of soldiers.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the amount lying to the credit of the National Health Insurance (Unclaimed Stamps) Account at the end of the last year for which the information is available.

The latest date for which an audited figure of the amount to credit of the National Health Insurance Unclaimed Proceeds of Stamp Sales Account is available is 31st December, 1943. On that date, the balance in the account was £61,103 11s. 8d.
