Vol. 103 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Classification of Éire Eggs.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state if, when agreement was reached with the British Minister of Food concerning the export of eggs, that Minister classed the eggs to be received from Éire as "foreign"; and if so, what effect this classification had on the prices fixed.

To comply with British import regulations, it has been necessary since 1931 for all imported eggs to be marked with the country of origin. Irish eggs have been so marked since then.
