Vol. 104 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Griffith Estate (County Tipperary).

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the Griffith estate, Cashel, County Tipperary, will be divided to relieve the congestion in the area; and the causes of delay in the division of this estate.

Proceedings are in progress for the acquisition and resumption of the lands of Knockroe and Farranamanagh, respectively, which are held by the representatives of George Griffin, deceased, but it has not yet been possible to bring the proceedings to a conclusion. The matter is partly dependent on the outcome of current litigation in the Supreme Court in another case. It is not feasible in the circumstances to say when the Griffin lands can be divided, but there will be no avoidable delay.
