I move the motion standing in my name and in the name of Deputy Davin:—
That Deputy Patrick Hogan be appointed Leas-Cheann Comhairle.
I am presenting to the House for this very high office the name of a gentleman who is no stranger to the position and who has filled the office with dignity in previous years. I feel sure that Deputy Hogan will command the confidence of all the members of this House, irrespective of Party.
