Vol. 120 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing Needs of Ferbane (County Offaly).

asked the Minister for Local Government whether a survey of the housing needs of the town of Ferbane has been made during the past year, and if he will state what steps, if any, have been taken or are being taken to meet the housing requirements of the increasing population of this area.

I understand that a survey of the housing needs of the county, including Ferbane, is at present in progress.

Plans for a scheme of 26 houses have been approved and will satisfy the needs of Ferbane and surrounding district as disclosed by the 1943 survey. I understand that this scheme will be advertised for tenders at a very early date.
