I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that the Clifden area was considered for selection by the board in May, 1951, but was unsuccessful in competition with other areas in the Galway district. The board state that the Clifden area will be again considered for selection in the late spring of 1952 but that no indication can be given at this stage as to whether it will then be selected for development.
