Much of the machinery which had been acquired by Córas Iompair Éireann for the proposed chassis factory was disposed of—some by export—following the decision of the previous administration that the project should not proceed. It would be difficult, therefore, to take practical steps now to revive the project, but I have in mind the possibility of its revival when circumstances are more favourable.
