Vol. 134 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Appointment of Veterinary Surgeon.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will take the necessary steps to have a permanent veterinary surgeon appointed to South-West Donegal with headquarters in Ardara.

Mr. Walsh

The question of veterinary facilities in the area referred to has been under examination for some time past by my Department, and I am at present considering what steps can be taken to improve the situation.

Could the Minister say how long it has been under consideration by him?

Mr. Walsh

I have it under consideration at the moment.

1,378 days.

I gave notice yesterday that I wished to raise the subject matter of Question No. 63 on the Adjournment.

There is an uprising.

Deputy Cogan is getting restive now.

There is a traditional observation about sinking ships.

Mr. Boland

The rats are all over there.

I did not use that word, but it came very trippingly to the Minister's tongue.

Would someone tell the Taoiseach to dissolve the Dáil? The Government have got notice to quit.
