The total quantity of chocolate crumb manufactured for sale or stock amounted to 212,828 cwt. in 1948; 275,290 cwt. in 1949; 402,438 cwt. in 1950, and 514,383 cwt. in 1951. There was no production of chocolate crumb for sale as such in 1938, and particulars of the amount manufactured for stock are not available. The quantity produced for sale or stock in the nine months January September, 1952, is estimated at 460,000 cwt.
The total quantity of cheese manufactured amounted to 39,615 cwt. in 1938; 52,559 cwt. in 1948; 63,585 cwt. in 1949; and 60,269 cwt. in 1950. The quantity manufactured in 1951 is estimated at 48,800 cwt., and in the nine months January-September, 1952, at 44,400 cwt.
Particulars of the home production of evaporated milk cannot be furnished since they would disclose information relating to an individual concern.
