asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the amount of interest paid by each of the harbour authorities on money borrowed for each of the years 1950 to 1952 inclusive.

As the information requested is in the form of a tabular statement I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate the reply with the Official Report.
The statutory period for the furnishing of harbour accounts for the year 1952 has not yet expired and accordingly figures for that year are not yet available in my Department.
I should inform the Deputy that harbour authorities are required under the Harbours Act, 1946 to keep copies of their audited accounts available for inspection by interested persons on payment of a fee of 1/-.
Following is the information:—
