Vol. 137 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Bog-Land.

asked the Minister for Lands whether investigations have yet been completed in connection with the undeveloped bog-land in the townland of Pollagh, Rosscahill, County Galway (estate: Martin, Record No. S.6694); and, further, whether he is aware that a large number of uneconomic landholders in this district have now been awaiting the result of this investigation for over a year; and, if so, if he will make a statement in the matter.

The turbary in question covers some 65 acres. The title to it is very involvedas some 15 parties appear to own, or have an interest in the turbary in undivided shares. The Land Commission are pursuing their inquiries but no indication can be given at present as to the feasibility of making the turbary available for allotment.
