Vol. 146 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Corporation Grants.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state (a) the total amount of grants paid to the Dublin Corporation since 1st June, 1953, in respect of special works for the provision of work for the unemployed; (b) the total costs of such special works; (c) the total number of persons employed on such special works in each month during the period, and (d) the total number of schemes submitted for approval and the number sanctioned.

I assume that the Deputy is referring to works which are financed by means of grants out of the Employment and Emergency Schemes Vote, and in my reply I propose to give such particulars. As this reply is in the form of a tabular statement I propose with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.
