I recently visited Kerry and had discussions with the chairman of the Kerry County Council, the chairman of the housing committee, and local officials. The main object of my visit was to expedite the housing programme as suggested by the Deputy. A considerable amount of agreement in regard to proposed and pending schemes was reached as a result of my visit and approval has been given or will be forthcoming in time for the next monthly meeting of the council in respect of the carrying out of a number of grouped and single cottage schemes throughout the county.
