asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state if C.I.E. have yet decided on any measures to provide up-to-date passenger coaches for travellers arriving and departing by the mail boat at Dún Laoghaire, and, if so, whether it is expected that such improved accommodation will be available for Irish travellers at the Christmas period.

I am informed by C.I.E. that a programme of passenger coaches for the service between Westland Row and Dún Laoghaire is in hands. The board hope that there will be some improvement in time for the Christmas traffic and that the programme will be complete by next summer.
