Vol. 148 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Housing Needs.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state (1) whether he has received proposals from the Kerry County Council in connection with its revised housing needs, and, if so, if he will give particulars of such proposals, and (2) the number of houses erected in County Kerry since 31st March, 1954.

Arising out of direct discussions in last October with the county manager and other officials it was agreed that an immediate survey of the housing needs of Kerry should be carried out and an undertaking was given that the results would be notified to my Department before the end of January. The figures have not yet been furnished.

A total of 16 houses were erected by the Kerry County Council between 31st March, 1954 and 31st December, 1954.
