asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that the road at Cartown, Bally-makenny, Drogheda, is in such a state of disrepair as to constitute a danger to the lives of all road users, and cyclists in particular, and that repeated representations to the county council in the matter during the last 18 months have been to no avail; and, if so, if he will request the Louth County Council to have this road repaired immediately.

The responsibility for all works on the public roads in their area rests with the county council and I could not undertake to intervene in the discharge of that responsibility in particular cases.
