Vol. 156 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sale of Tipperary Farm.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that a farm of 120 statute acres at Gurteen, Shamrock, which was owned by the late Jack Delaney, Knockelly, Fethard, is being offered for sale and that the sale is due to take place in the near future, and, if so, if the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring this farm in view of the fact that there are uneconomic smallholders in the locality who are prepared to contribute part of the purchase price of the farm.

I am not aware of this sale but I have asked the Land Commission to look into the matter. The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of the lands.
