As I pointed out to the Deputy in reply to a previous question on this matter the wage rates of sawmill workers at Dundrum are no longer related to the county council roadworkers' rates but to the rates paid to comparable employees in the district. Pending the completion of inquiries by my Department into recent changes in such rates I cannot give any indication as to what the decision on the Dundrum sawmill workers' application for an increase is likely to be.
