The following table gives estimates of the number of children who have reached or will reach the age of 14 years in each of the years 1956 to 1965. The main reduction in numbers in any such group from 14 to 16 and from 16 to 18 years is believed to be due to emigration, rather than to mortality, and since it is not possible to estimate the numbers emigrating at these ages, reliable figures cannot be given in respect of (b) and (c) of the Deputy's question.
