Land Commission records are not kept on a constituency basis. In Co. Galway as a whole, the total area allotted during the period 1st January, 1959, to 30th April, 1959, was 8,113 acres. The areas allotted during the corresponding period of the two previous years were 5,451 and 2,901 acres respectively.
