asked the Minister for Local Government if he has sanctioned the increase recently proposed by the Trim Urban Council of 1/- per week in the rent of tenants of St. Patrick's Park, Trim, County Meath; if he is aware that the tenants and their solicitor were not allowed on request to see the original agreements; and if, in view of the fact that the majority of the tenants are married men with a wage of between five and six pounds per week, he will refuse to sanction an increase in the present high rent of £1 0s. 2d.

My sanction is not required to the revised rents fixed by Trim Urban District Council. With regard to the second part of the Question, I have seen a Press report in which reference is made to such a request. The matter is not one in which I have any function.
