asked the Minister for Health whether he has received any proposals from Kildare County Council for a reorganisation of the dispensary districts in County Kildare; when the proposals were received; and when it is likely that a decision on the proposals will be conveyed to the Kildare County Council.

2.
Proposals for the reorganisation of nine dispensary districts in County Kildare were submitted to my Department on the 7th October, 1957. The proposals are very complex, involving the abolition of an existing dispensary district, the creation of a new district and considerable alterations in the other districts concerned. The matter has been closely examined in my Department, in consultation with the local authority.
I have referred the proposals to the local authority for further examination by the county manager and when I receive his observations, I hope to arrive at a decision.
