Imports of sheep skins are brought to account under two separate headings in the Official Import List as follows:— (1) Sheep skins and lambskins, undressed and (2) Fur Skins, dressed, or dressed and dyed—Sheep and Lamb. Total imports in the period 1st January, 1959 to 30th November, 1959 under the first of these headings amounted to 5,632 cwt. valued (c.i.f.) at £60,996 and under the second heading to 796 cwt. valued at £78,082. Figures for the calendar year 1959 are not yet available.
