I am informed by Bord na Móna that to establish the effects of bog silt on fish stocks of a river a research programme has been worked out between Bord na Móna, the Fisheries Division, Department of Lands, and other interested parties. This research work is being undertaken by the Salmon Research Trust. I understand that by the nature of this study no early results can be expected.
