Vol. 187 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Temporary District Justice.

6.

asked the Minister for Justice whether any person acting as a temporary district justice on the 1st March, 1961, had been previously in the service of, or retained by, a local authority; if so, whether he still retains such position; and what emoluments are still paid to him by such authority.

One of the present temporary district justices was, prior to his appointment as temporary justice, in the service of a local authority. He has, since the date of his appointment as temporary justice, been on special leave from his post with the local authority. No remuneration or other emolument has been paid to him by the local authority since the date of his appointment as temporary justice.
