During the period referred to three Garda Síochána stations were built in Laois-Offaly, namely, Mountrath and Mountmellick, Laois and Cloghan, Offaly. In the same period, major improvement works were carried out at three other stations, namely, Abbeyleix and Stradbally, Laois and Daingean, Offaly.
