asked the Minister for Defence whether it is proposed to build or acquire a hall in the Ballyfermot area, Dublin for the purpose of training civil defence volunteers, having regard to the need to provide such training in that thickly populated area.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballyfermot (Dublin) Civil Defence Training Hall.

Mr. Ryan
The acquisition of premises for the purpose of civil defence training is, in the first instance, a matter for the local authority concerned.
No specific proposals for the building or acquisition of a hall in the Ballyfermot area have been submitted to me by the local authority.
I understand, however, that the local authority is in a position to provide any accommodation needed for such civil defence training as may be practicable in the Ballyfermot area in the immedate future.
