I presume that the Deputy has in mind the method of supply of drugs and medical prescriptions under the General Medical Service provided under Section 14 of the Health Act, 1953.
The matter will be considered by the Select Committee of Dáil Éireann on the health services and I think that it would be inappropriate to consider altering the existing arrangements pending the issue of the Committee's report.
I shall consider the matter in the light of the Committee's recommendations.
