asked the Minister for Transport and Power how many areas in County Sligo are without electricity; when it is proposed to extend a supply to them; and if he will state the names of the areas.

I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that the only unsupplied rural area in County Sligo is Cloonacool where development work under the Rural Electrification Scheme will commence within the next few weeks. Any householder or group of householders in other parts of the county who might still be without supply will be quoted terms on application to the Board's district manager, Sligo.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power what areas in County Leitrim are without electricity; and when it is proposed to extend a supply to them.

I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that there are three unsupplied areas in County Leitrim. The first is Glenade rural area, where development work is about to start. The other two are Drumdoo and Rossinver rural areas, where it is anticipated that development work will commence about next May or June. Any householder or group of householders in other parts of the county who might still be without supply will be quoted terms on application to the Board's district manager, Sligo.
