I presume that by "white health cards" the Deputy has in mind general medical services cards issued under Section 14 of the Health Act, 1953.
On 31st December, 1962, the latest date for which the information is available, the number of medical cards current in Counties Sligo and Leitrim was 4,660 and 2,384 respectively. The total number of persons covered by these cards, that is holders and dependants, in County Sligo was 14,028 and in County Leitrim the number was 8,020.
