(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Health if he will state in respect of each health authority area (a) the cost per head of population of the free general practice medical service and (b) the cost per head of population of the total medical health services.

(a) The term medical health services as used in the question has been interpreted as embracing what are normally described as the health services but excluding maintenance and disability allowances and maternity cash grants which are social rather than medical in their nature.
