Vol. 200 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballycastle (Mayo) School.

41.

asked the Minister for Education if, in view of the fact that the boys' national school at Ballycastle, County Mayo, is within one hundred yards of a piped public water supply, he will make a grant available for the provision of water-flushed sanitation facilities in the school; and, if so, if he will state the conditions under which such a grant may be sanctioned.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked for a report on the feasibility of providing water-flushed sanitation facilities at Ballycastle boys' school. My Department will allow a grant towards the cost of the work subject to a favourable recommendation by the Commissioners.
