Vol. 203 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Electricity Supplies.

9.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he is aware that there are some thirty families willing to avail themselves of the ESB power at a reasonable cost at Keas, Bunglash, Dreenagh, Keel, and Drombrain and other areas in the Glencar-Killorglin district, County Kerry; and when the ESB propose to facilitate them, as the main line has already been erected.

I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that the townlands referred to in the question are in the Board's Killorglin rural area in which development work was completed earlier this year. At the time, the householders concerned were given an opportunity of taking supply of which they did not avail. The Killorglin rural area will be recanvassed in due course and all interested householders will be given a further opportunity of accepting supply.
