My Department has not taken legal proceedings against insurance contributor number 752588.
It is possible that what the Deputy has in mind is that in July last proceedings were taken on behalf of this insured person against an employer who failed to stamp her insurance card at the proper time. These proceedings were concerned with the recovery from the employer of the amount of disability benefit lost by the insured person in respect of a period of illness in 1962. A decree was obtained against the employer and payment on foot of the decree was received in my Department on the 12th of this month. A payable order for the amount in question was issued to the insured person on 15th of this month.
How long after the receipt of the money was the payable order sent out?
Within three days of the receipt of the money in the Department.
And within one day of the question being put down.
The money was received on the 12th; the payable order was sent out on the 15th; and it is now the 21st.
