Vol. 208 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Increase in Farmers' Incomes.

36.

asked the Minister for Agriculture how he proposes to provide for farmers an increase of twelve per cent in their income.

As I have indicated already, I will release all my secrets on this subject later.

That is as good as "Facts about Ireland".

Does the Minister not consider that if this large section of the community do not get the 12 per cent there is no equity in the Taoiseach's programme?

The Minister considers everything.

He might at least be courteous and tell us what he finds as a result of his consideration.

I have used an expression here in relation to this matter already. I have told the House that I shall make the House and the country aware at the proper time.

Of all your secrets?

Of all my secrets.

When the Dáil is closed and there can be no questions.

In view of the particular hardship involved for County Donegal, will the Minister release the secret a little bit in advance?

I have released it now.

(Interruptions.)

If there was a by-election in County Donegal, the Minister would release it.

Will Deputy Harte please allow somebody else to intervene?

The Deputy does not know the difference between seed and ware potatoes.

(Interruptions.)

The Minister is going to seed and wearing badly.
