The progress of local fish landings is an important factor in deciding whether a grant from State funds towards the cost of improvements at this pier could be justified. The value of these landings has shown a downward trend in the past two years and was only about £800 in 1963. I am keeping the landings under observation in the hope that they will improve this year.
