asked the Minister for Local Government when he expects the work will start on the regional water supply for South Connemara, County Galway, that is to say from Spiddal to Lettermullen and the branch between Spiddal and Furba.
With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 35 and 36 together.
A proposal for the appointment of a consulting engineer to prepare plans for schemes to serve the South Connemara area was received in my Department on 26th October, 1965, and is at present being examined by my technical advisers. It is not possible at present to say when work will start on any section of the schemes.

No proposals for further extensions to Rosmuck water supply have been submitted to my Department.

No proposals for such a scheme have been submitted to my Department.

I am not in a position to state when work on this scheme will commence. Preliminary proposals which were submitted to my Department by Galway County Council on 22nd September are at present being examined.
