asked the Minister for Local Government if he will get an early decision on the most acceptable tender for the Valentia bridge in view of the anxiety and concern prevailing in the island over the long delay.

A proposal for the acceptance of a tender for the bridge referred to has been received from the Kerry County Council and is under consideration in my Department. I hope to communicate with the council in the matter in the near future.
