Vol. 229 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Sligo Houses.

14.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that local authority specific instance houses (details supplied) being erected in rural areas in County Sligo are not being protected by new walls in front of those houses which adjoin public roads; and if he will have this matter rectified.

It is a matter for each housing authority to decide the type and extent of boundary fencing to be provided on cottage sites.

I am informed that the housing authority considers that adequate fencing has been provided in the cases referred to by the Deputy.

It is for the Minister to say how wrong he is inside the House. That is what he is paid for.

(Interruptions.)
