Vol. 230 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of Leitrim Rivers.

43.

asked the Minister for Finance if any drainage schemes are being prepared for the Bonet River at Dromahair, Manorhamilton, County Leitrim, and for the drainage of the river which flows from Glencar lake and enters the Bonet at Cornastalk, Manorhamilton, as both rivers are causing heavy losses to farmers.

An engineering survey of the Bonet River catchment has been made and design work is proceeding in order to determine whether an economic scheme can be produced for the main river and tributaries— including the stream which joins the Bonet at Cornastalk.
