asked the Taoiseach the population of the scheduled towns in Counties Westmeath, Louth, Meath and Dublin for the purposes of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963.

Population figures for towns are available only in respect of the boundaries as defined for Census of Population purposes and these boundaries do not in all cases coincide with those adopted by the planning authorities in connection with the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963.

With your permission, Sir, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the required information.
