The number of valid planning appeals received in my Department during the year ended 30th November, 1967, was 1,377. So far, 880 of these appeals have been disposed of. The appeals were withdrawn in 255 cases, permission granted either with or without conditions in 407 cases, and permissions were refused in 218 cases. The remaining 497 cases have not yet been determined.
