Vol. 235 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cloyne (Cork) School.

69.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the progress made in providing a new school for Cloyne, County Cork.

Sketch plans were prepared in December, 1966, for the provision of a new school to replace the existing boys and girls schools at Cloyne.

Subsequently the Manager offered an alternative site for the new school. This site is regarded as suitable by the Commissioners of Public Works, and revised sketch plans are now being prepared by the Commissioners, who hope to have them ready for issue to the Manager at an early date.

When this has been done and satisfactory evidence of title to the site has been submitted, the Department will sanction a grant towards the cost of the erection of the school.
