It had been intended to provide a water supply to this station from a spring about 130 yards away. It transpired later that a local group water scheme would use the same source. In the circumstances it was decided to participate in the group scheme, the planning of which is now understood to be completed. As soon as work on the scheme is finished the Garda station will be connected to it and modern sanitary facilities provided.
